Service Description

The tour begins with a visit to the Virgin of the Angels Basilica, an important religious site in Costa Rica. Each year, thousands of pilgrims travel here—some on foot for several days—to honor their faith. The Basilica is notable for its vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, and a collection of carvings, statues, and other works of religious art. The next stop is the Lankester Botanical Gardens, a research center operated by the University of Costa Rica. The gardens are home to more than 800 species of orchids, as well as bromeliads and many other tropical plants.
